High schoolers detained during Istanbul protest, beaten inside police bus

At least 30 high school students were detained in Istanbul after they protested the government for its education policies.

A video footage posted online on Friday showed riot police beating some of those students inside a police van.

“We were held under custody for hours. They cracked my head on three points. They split my lip open. These torturer did all,” one of the students said on his way to hospital.
